To delete part of a path
  1. In the Toolbox, click Direct Selection Cc295130.6dd6571f-c116-451d-8dd2-1f88b8406362(en-us,Expression.10).png.

  2. Select the path containing the segment to delete, and then select the segment so it becomes highlighted.

  3. Click DELETE.
