Inside Expression - Alex Moskwa

Alex Moskwa

Q:Name:
A:Alex Moskwa

Q:Title/Product:
A:Program Manager with Expression Web

Q:How long have you been a Microsoftie?
A:Since March 08

Q:Describe a typical workday:
A:As if such a beast exists. My typical workday can consist of any number of tasks of varying importance based on the day. These include: writing specs, wrangling bugs, collaborating across Expression teams, working with dev & test on scheduling or feature planning, and so on.

Q:How did you to choose to work on this team / this product?
A:I came from a Web Dev background so I was first brought into the team as an end-to-end tester and to give an everyday user perspective. From that I ended up writing a lot of feature reviews of the product and was invited to interview as a Program Manager. While I never imagined myself having the word "manage" in my title, I took up the challenge and things have been going pretty well thus far.

Q:What's your favorite feature? Why?
A:The PHP work we did is awesome! In that past my PHP dev process was a lot of making small changes and uploading individual files to see how they worked on my PHP server. Now, once I setup PHP with Expression Web, I preview in the browser and get everything I need on my local machine.

Q:How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
A:Recumbent triking, all kinds of gaming (video, board, card), movie buff, reading of all kinds (nonfiction, fiction, graphic novels).

Q:Anything else you want to share with the community?
A:We work in the building that is the Answer to the Question. How cool is that?!
